An infantile bald eagle. UK: THESE STUNNING images show British birds captured mid-flight in all the glory of Autumn. One image shows a Great Grey Owl mid-flight, beginning to spread its wings in flight. The Great Grey Owl has a life span between 12 to 40 years and is mostly active at night. Another image captures a juvenile Bald Eagle posing for the camera in a stunning portrait. The bird is characterised as a juvenile due to its age, meaning it lacks some of the identifying characteristics of a Bald Eagle, such as the iconic white head. These images were captured by James Poole (26), aka Jays Captures, at Cotswold Falconry and Hagley Falconry in the Midlands using a Nikon D5600 camera. ?To be able to capture such details from these stunning birds is a massive achievement,? said James. ?It?s always heart-warming being able to get so close to the birds, especially the owls and Eagles. To be able to capture them always leaves a smile on my face. ?The stationary portraits were all about lighting and making sure my settings matched the conditions. ?As the conditions were a mix of sunny and overcast it was tricky to get the shots overall. ?The inflight photos were all about timing and tracking the birds movements inflight, I took several bursts and picked out my favourite photo from those
