New recruits with India Company, 3rd Recruit training Battalion, are directed toward the contraband room during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Sept. 24. In the contraband room recruits are informed of all the items they aren’t allowed to have in order to begin training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. India Company is scheduled to graduate Dec. 21.
