The log itself is not found. The log of Fleurias was tested in 1879-1881, and in 1888 on board the French warship L'Océan. At speeds above 10 knots this log was not accurate. Fluerias states that the results of the first tests of the episodes in November 1879 and December 1881 the Revue maritime recorded zijn.
