A Monarch butterflies 'Danaus Plexippus' is seen in the forests of Oyamel during his migration to Mexico from August to October to escape the low temperatures from his country of origin, the butterflies travel more than four thousand kilometers to reach the forests of 'Biosphere Reserve of the Monarch Butterfly' where they hibernate at the end of their cycle and return to their natural habitat in Canada.
