Yushima tenjin sakaue chobo. Hilltop view, Yushima Tenjin shrine. Yushima Tenman-gu is a Shinto shrine located in the Bunkyo ward of Tokyo, Japan. Established in 458, it is now devoted to Tenjin (Sugawara no Michizane), the kami of Learning. For this reason, it is also called Yushima Tenjin. Ukiyo-e (picture of the floating world) is a genre of Japanese art which flourished from the 17th through 19th centuries.
