The fixture should be sethigh enough so that the work can be donewithout stooping. If a sterilizing hop-per is wanted, secure one in whichall the contents can be sterilized, andone which can be easily cleaned andrepaired. Many of the so-called clinic hop-pers are simply a complicated mass ofvalves, pedals and sprays, which need amechanician to operate and keep in or-der. The simpler the fixture (Fig. 330),the more effectual it is. Bafli tubs for patients should be setup from the floor for two reasons—facility of cleaning underneath, and easein bathing if nurse or attendant needs toassist.
