The Chateau de Caslenaud-la-Chapelle overlooks the Dordogne River in the south west of France. It is now privately owned but open to the public.


The Chateau de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle is a medieval fortress in a prominent position overlooking the Dordogne River in the south west of France. It played a number of important roles in the medieval history but eventually declined and was a ruin by the time of the French Revolution. The chateau is now restored and privately owned. It is open to the public and is a major tourist attraction in the region. It houses a museaum of medieval warfare. It is a listed Monument Historique.
