Up to October 17,$ had been contributed in the county to this in 1880 a meeting was held in the Court House toorganize relief for the victims of the famine in Ireland. A work of benevolent character that must not be over-looked in this connection was organized and led for manyyears by Mrs. Lucy G. Chrisman, in cleaning up, beautifying,and caring for the cemeteries of the county.
