SHORTHORN BULL THORNBY FUSILIER On our front page this week appears thephotograph of the pedigree dairy Shorthorn bull,Thornby Fusilier (133919). He is at the head ofthe dairy Shorthorn herd owned by Mr. H. , Debdale Farm, Long Itchington,Rugby. Mr. Kenning has kept pedigree dairyShorthorns since 1905, and he attributes hisconversion from keeping ordinary cattle to thepedigree movement by reading the F. & S. Hebegan by obtaining two or three useful dairyfamilies and the Taylor bull Reginald (106757),going quietly along, getting some good dairy bullsto follow, including Shotford Foundation(133549), by Foundation Stone out of a Fogga-thorpe cow. He dispersed the herd last spring,and has since collected some of the best blood tobe had, his herd now consisting of Darlingtons,Foggathorpes, Red Roses, Fillpail?, DolphinleeRoses, Bates, Tellurias,
