Academy award-nominated actress and Save the Children Ambassador Julianne Moore joins the New York City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in the borough of Brooklyn in New York to promote the Safe Spaces program for children forced to relocate due to emergencies. Save the Children developed the program for children to play, socialize and recover while living in shelters following an emergency and the New York City OEM has joined the initiative and will stockpile the Safe Spaces kits as part of it's planning.
