It is the only accurate, contemporary modelknown and was followed by the U. S. naval authorities whenrestoring the Constitution at Boston, 1907. The museumpossesses a signed letter from Captain Hull dated August 5, 1813, referring to his gift of this model; also, a most interestingbill of May, 1814, acknowledging the receipt of twelve dollarsby Thomas Webb, in behalf of English Prisoners of Warfor Repairing, &c, &c. the Constit
