A man-at-arms sword, South German or Italian, circa 1490/1500 Strong double-edged blade with flattened central ridge. Struck inscription "ME FE SIT" and "IN DIVONNA V" (in Genoa?) on both sides. S-shaped, curved, octagonal quillons, the quatrefoil, cut ends decorated with inlaid brass rings. Grooved grip, both ends underlaid with sheet brass. Grooved pommel with incised decoration, the riveting with curved pommel plate made from brass. Length cm. Rare sword from the early Landsknecht era.
