Bundala National Park is a Ramsar Site where many migratory birds and native birds live. It provide different wetland ecosystems for floral and faunal species. Prosophis, Giant Opuntia and Hambu pan; invasive species spread over the wetland. The sand dunes of the coastal are protect the inland from erosion and many other natural hazrdous.
