PORT OF SUVA, Fiji (Oct. 14, 2018) Fire Controlman 2nd Class Matthew Skinner, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86), mans the rails while the ship pulls into the Port of Suva, Fiji Oct. 14, 2018. Shoup is currently participating in the Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) program, a Secretary of Defense program leveraging Department of Defense assets transiting the region to increase the Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, ultimately supporting its maritime law enforcement operations in Oceania.
