It should be borne in mind,however, that the most instructive part of the proceed-ings of a convention ot this kind should be the dis-cussions upon the papers. There was a marked im-provement in this particular noticeable at the last con-vention, and it is greatly to be desired that members willgo to the coming convention prepared to enter activelyinto the discussion of the points brought out by theauthors of the various papers. A comparison of notesand experiences at gatherings of this sort is most .\i.\gara Falls— ok the Convention of the Canadl Electrical .Association on Jine 2, 3 and 4, 1S97. terms have been made with the proprietors of the newHotel Lafayette for the accommodation of members andfriends of the Association while in attendance on theconvention. This hotel has been recently erected, comfortably fitted up with all modern appoint-ments, and is situated directly opposite the SuspensionBridge, presenting an excellent view of the greatcataract. The sessions of the convention will be held in theAssembly Hall of the Dufferin Cafe in Queen VictoriaPark, where the annual Association Banquet will alsotake place on the evening of the second day. It is the purpose to compress the business of the con-vention into the first two days, leaving the third dayentirely free for sight-seeing.
