The lode was found and prospected by aMr. Hogan near the township of Canbelego several years after the discoveryof the Mount Boppy Mine. Fifty tons of ore were sent to Wellington fortreatment, but the returns are unknown. Shortly afterwards the mine wasworked by a small syndicate. The shaft under the new management wassunk to a depth of 200 feet, and 200 feet of crosscutting were carried out Plate XXIX.
