The Rows, Stokkene are six two-storey terraces built by Henrik Ruise as barracks for the soldiers at Kastellet, Copenhagen, Denmark. Kastellet, The Citadel is a 17th Century fortress in the form of a pentagon with bastions at its corners built 1664 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Kastellet was part of the ring of defensive bastioned ramparts which used to encircle Copenhagen. The Citadel is still in active military use but is also open as a public park and historic site.
