Lieutenant Colonel Robert M. Schults holds the Black Knight Squadron sign, marking his 300th combat mission during the Vietnam War. He had served as executive officer of Marine Fighter-Attack Squadron-314 and would soon return to the states. This mission would be his last in Vietnam alongside radar intercept officer Lieutenant David O. Swaney.
