Acarine Mite
Acarine mites pierce the windpipes of bees to lay eggs. When the young mites hatch, they suck on the bee's body fluids. This mite was found in the course of a survey of bee hives being conducted by USDA inspectors in a 50-mile-wide strip along the Mexican border.
