Reductionwas promptly effected, and without inflicting any pain of which thepatient complained. In six weeks the patient was Mr. Toogood has reported also, in the Provincial Medical Journal ofJune 18th, 1842, an example of complete dislocation in this direction,in which the appearance was so dreadful, that Mr. Toogood at firstdespaired of being able to reduce it; but by directing two men tomake counter-extension while he made extension, the reduction was.
