Fontaine du Chatalet

The view taken in 1828, shows the Fontaine du Chatalet which is quadrilateral in shape with four dolphin heads. It is decorated with figures of Prudence, Vigilance, Justice and Power. A bronze Egyptian palm tree forms the shaft with the battles of Napoleon inscribed on it and it is topped with the statue of Victory. The image was drawn by J Nash under the direction of A Pugin and engraved by B Winkles
