Black-headed gulls are seen on the lake of Pradolongo park in Madrid. Thousands of gulls, the most of them Lesser black-backed gulls (Larus fuscus), Yellow-legged gulls (Larus michahellis) and Black-headed gulls (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) continue spending the winter months in Madrid. In mid-March, they will return to their breeding places in Central and northern Europe
