TAROT CARDS - THE DE LAURENCE DECK The first four cards of the De Laurence deck of the 22 Major pack of the Tarot: The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, and The Emperor. These are probably the first esoteric Tarot cards to be designed specifically for use in the United States of America. This series of cards is an adaptation of the designs drawn for the Order of the Golden Dawn by Pamela Colman Smith, under the supervision of Waite, by the American Rosicrucian, de Laurence, and were published in his work, The Illustrated Key To the Tarot, 1918.
