No. 37.—Netted Seine. mesh, and also a one and a half-inch mesh will berequired. Commence by making 12 stitches with the largemesh on a foundation string, and join with the half-inch mesh. First round.—Net 2 stitches in the first loop, 1stitch in the next loop, and repeat. Second round.—Net 2 stitches in the first loop, 1stitch in each of the next 2 loops, and repeat. Third round.—Net 2 stitches in the first loop, 1stitch in each of the next 3 loops, and repeat. Con-tinue netting round and round in this manner mak-ing each time one stitch more between the increase(which occurs six times in the round and always inthe loop which appears as if drawn longways) untilthe bag is as large round as you wish; then workround and round without any increase until thenetting measures about 17 inches from the com-mencement. Now net 1 round plain with the largemesh in which to run the scarlet inch-wide braidto draw up the mouth of the bag; net 6 more roundswith the half-inch mesh,
