The futuristic and illuminated Samuel Beckett Bridge across the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland is seen next to The Convention Centre Dublin, in Dublin, Ireland. The Samuel Beckett Bridge was opened in 2009 and is a cable-stayed bridge in Dublin that joins Sir John Rogerson's Quay on the south side of the River Liffey to Guild Street and North Wall Quay in the Docklands area. The Convention Centre overlooks the River Liffey at Spencer Dock and was designed by the Irish-born American architect Kevin Roche and 2010.
