The Magnolia Warbler is a handsome and familiar warbler of the northern forests. It migrates to the boreal forests of Quebec Canada in summer where it nests and returns south for the winter. The magnolia warbler is a member of the wood warbler family Parulidae. The genus name Setophaga is from Ancient Greek ses, "moth", and phagos, "eating", and the specific magnolia refers to the type locality.
