Rusty dot pearl moth


The rusty dot pearl moth (Udea ferrugalis) is a member of the family Crambidae. In the UK this moth is mainly a migrant species usually found in central and southern Europe. The larvae feed on various herbaceous plants and is sometimes considered a pest as the larvae will also feed on various crop plants. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in October.
