Har-mon, of which official notification has been to-day forwarded tothe Adjutant-General of Connecticut. Both officers passed verysevere examinations extremely well. Their conduct has beenunexceptional and the board unanimously approved their pro-motion. I would therefore respectfully request that you ap-point them to fill the vacancies above named, feeling sure thatthey will do honor both to the regiment and the State.
