If anything characterizes this neighborhood is that it is the most bohemian and hippie all of New York. Madonna On these streets had their first home, the famous documentary photographer Nan Goldin photographed in an exemplary manner the outbreak of the punk movement and the beginnings of AIDS devastating and even some facade has been used to cover one of the discs of Led Zeppelin. A melting pot of cultures formed by Jews, Germans, Irish, Russians, Ukrainians and Hispanics who migrated here at the beginning of the twentieth century has left its cultural legacy in the form of churches, restaurants and buildings.
