The C23/24 Stormwater Treatment Area (STA) is a 2070-acre feature designed to treat water from the C-25 and Fort Pierce Farms Basins. Together, the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), and local governments are working to deliver the Indian River Lagoon (IRL) - South project. The features work singularly and together to improve water storage and water management flexibility, water quality, and the spatial extent of various habitat throughout the southern Indian River Lagoon Watershed – benefitting multiple species and the economy.
