Its green roof is planted with nearly 90 species of indigenous wild flowers and grasses including poppies, campions, buttercups and ox-eye Wong said: ?It's really exciting to see a factory that doesn't look like one. It's a factory, a farm and an office combined in one building - half James Bond and half quintessentially Cotswold Hills. As soon as you go up on the roof you see how rich and dense it is with not only native plants but with insects. It's not often you can say industrial unit and haven for bees in the same 118,000 sq. ft. eco salad factory with its sweeping domed roof has taken three years to build and features a raft of eco friendly initiatives and technology that will improve the quality and shelf life of the million salad bags the new factory can now produce every week for Britain's Rights Reserved - F Stop Press.
