Quota 383 or quota Generale Montanari, or Hill of Death,near Plava. Quota 383 was the scene of fierce fighting between the Italian army and the Austro-Hungarian army. The Italian soldiers never managed to conquer an altitude of 383 and in the day of June 17, 1915 suffered 8000 losses. Brigata Avellino-Galleria Spoleto, The gallery was an Italian shelter and ammunition depot.
