Randolph Street, l. d. Phone, Randolph 6578. CHICAGO, ILL. St. Louis. SUPPLY IS LIMITED. The past week found everything short of quality except gladioli, which are coming good, especially America. Of roses, Russell and Sunburst are the best. Lilies are good and sell at a fair price. Prices on other stocks are low. Good asters have not yet made an ap- pearance on the market. There are lots of the poorer grades. Sweet peas have about disappeard. In greens the market is normal. NOTES. Quite a number of the retail stores and all the wholesale houses will close half a day July 26 to attend the an- nual outing of the florists' club. About 50 machines have been entered in the decorated automobile parade, preced- ing the trip to Romona park, where the picnic will be held. About half a dozen fishing trips start from the wholesale district every Saturday afternoon well stocked up with supplies, but they never seem to be able to bring any fish back with them. Al Gumz of the Windier Wholesale Floral Co. is still confined to his home recovering from the effects of three broken ribs. He hopes to be able to get out soon and get back into harness. One of Grimm & Gorly's delivery oars was in a smash-up last week and the driver was picked up unconscious. He was only stunned, however, and is again on the job.
