It is the story of a 13yearold girl who must face up to the sudden, tragic death of her 11-year-old sister. Despite that synopsis, it is a life-affirming drama will touch anyone who sees it and is perfect for parents to watch with their children - this program, like most of the After-school Specials, deserves to be in prime time since it is superior to most prime-time stuff. Katy Kurtzman plays the fun-loving and wholly engaging 11yearold while Melissa Sue Anderson,. star of Little House on the Prairie, does very well as the quieter, older sister. 's After-school Special and American Short Story series both point up the wealth of material that exists outside cops and doctors and drug addicts, which is just about all most writers seem to think about when they sit down to write a script for a dramatic series.
