Marines of the 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company conduct a parachute training jump during the Vietnam War. The training jumps, held twice a month, serve to provide new recruits with experience and keep veterans in shape. Due to the lack of secure areas in Northern I Corps, the Recon Marines conduct their jumps under actual combat situations. This photograph was taken on June 12, 1968.
