WING COMMANDER JOGN BARRACLOUGH, DFC., AFC. - Born at Hounslow in 1918, Wing Commander Barraclough, whose home is in London, was educated at Cranbrook School, Kent. After serving in the Artists' Rifles (T. A.) as a private in 1935, he was commissioned in the in 1938. He was awarded the Air Force Cross(Military Division) in January 1942, and the Distinguished Flying Cross in Februury 1943. In the citation to the latter award he was described as "a born leader of men.
