PIERRE S. DU PONT. Medium sized long-pointed bud of a reddish gold opening to a semi-double, cupped, very lasting fragrant flower of a deep golden yellow. The plant is of strong vigorous compact growth. A profuse and continu- ous bloomer. 75c OLYMPIAD. The color is a lustrous oriental scarlet, its accentuated by a bright golden base, richness is further intensified by a mar- velous velvety sheen that renders the flow- er exceedingly effective, especially in arti- ficial light, scarlet with a glow of flame- like brilliancy. Experts have tried and failed to describe this rose's remarkable color effect and freely admit their inade- quacies. 75c each. PRESIDENT HOOVER. A remarkable rose, wonderfully free flowering, and glo- rious in its color arrangement which is a splendid combination of cerise-pink, flame, scarlet, and yellow—a combina- tion that furnishes the most dazzling color effect imaginable. Beautifully pointed buds, large flowers, composed of broad, heavy petals and exquisitely fragrant. President Hoover is some- thing altogether new in rose color, a typical instance, however, of the color trend of the new introductions. 75c each. SCHWABENLAND. A Rose of great merit. There are many pink Roses but none just like this variety either in color or in the splendid formation of its blooms. The flowers are large, over five inches in diameter, of great depth, with high spiral center, the petals hav- ing a peculiar twist or curl give the large bloom a most graceful appear- ance. In color it is a luminous rich rose pink, retaining its brightness until the petals drop; the flowers are carried singly on long stiff stems. A healthy, hardy, vigorous grower and free and per- petual flowering. 75c each
