Brenda Alexander, US reproductive biologist, carrying out research on the biology of sexual orientation and reproduction in sheep. Alexander is experimenting with sheep's urine, one of the factors involved in attraction between sheep, and in particular in triggering copulation in homosexual rams (male sheep). Here, she is carrying out an experiment with female sheep urine. Male sheep (rams) are behind the glass window. Alexander works at the University of Wyoming, USA, specialising in neuroendocrine mechanisms controlling reproduction and reproductive behaviour in domestic livestock. Photographed in 2013.
