Growing cracks in the main span of the West Seattle Bridge are seen reinforced with epoxy on Thursday, April 23, 2020. The Seattle Department of Transportation ordered an emergency closure of the bridge after cracks in the deck were discovered during a routine inspection. The bridge, which serves as the main arterial road into West Seattle, will remain out of service until at least 2022 because of extensive damage found.
