This drug, marketed as Erbitux, is used to treat metastatic head and neck cancers spread from colorectal cancer. It is a monoclonal antibody that acts by inhibiting epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), therefore blocking the signals that tell the cancer cells to grow and divide.
