If his en-ergy is properly applied we find him rapidly forging to the front,but, on the other hand, if he is not diligent, he will drop by thewayside and find that he is not without competitors. He has the advantage of past generations, and also theolder generations of to-day, who have compiled and put into con-dition for his reference the results of their many years of hardlabor.
