Boats on their moorings in Jåvea Port on the Costa Blanca, Spain


The port of Javea has agravel beach and marina with a history dating back to the 15th century. In the 19th century it was an important gateway for the export of raisins. By the end of the 19th century the raisin trade had collapsed and it became only a fishing harbour and still remains a fishing port today. The modern marina was built in the 1950's and 1960's.
