The former premises of C. H. Katz, twine merchant, in Brick Lane. This was one of hundreds of small businesses and shops in the Jewish East End. Katz and his business are long gone, but his surname, painted on the brickwork above the window, has been retained. This is one of the few visible remains of the Jewish East End in Brick Lane.
