The advantages of the invention are obvious. Thehands need never come in contact with the bandagesduring the operation of the device. The bandages, re-tained as they are in the receptacle and thus carriedto the patient, retain their heat for twenty minutes,a result which testifies to the efficiency of the instru-ment. In preparing fomentations, it is the custom tobring to the bedside the several utensils which are re-quired. Not only is the fomentation prepared with dif-ficulty, but the moral effect of the utensils on the pa-tient is often harmful. The press described simplifiesthe preparation of fomentations by dispensing withthese utensils and enaHes a bandage to be preparedwithout the knowle, the patient. patented by Henry W.
