ATLANTIC OCEAN (FEB. 09, 2017) –LCDR Nicholas Maruca trains and mentors Ensign Christopher Hebig on how to establish control over the ship when working in close proximity to an oiler during underway replenishment between the guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf (CG 72) and the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8). Vella Gulf is underway conducting Task Force Exercise in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
