Some features of interest and of novelty in electric car con-struction were introduced in the form of wooden frame mem-bers, reinforced heavily by structural steel shapes. The sidesills are of 6-in. channels, which are enclosed on both sides bywhite oak timbers, and the center sills are 5-in. I-beams, facedn both sides with Southern pine. The .car-body end sills arealso of steel shapes, securely attached to the side sills by steelcastings and forgings, the end-sill
