Aiyanar sits in lalitasana in a Grove

In a grove suggested by two trees, Aiyanar sits in lalitasana on a dais, from each of the sides of which emerge three horses. In his right hand he carries a long sword and in his left a buckler. An angavastra (shawl) is draped over his elbows, and at his feet is a dog.
