Crews with the Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District continue construction of the labyrinth weir at the Isabella Dam Safety Modification Project in Lake Isabella, California, on July 28, 2022. Crews are approaching completion of construction work on the dam system, including the auxiliary and main dams, emergency spillway and labyrinth weir. The project is designed to reduce flood risk for downstream communities including Bakersfield.
