In the Palestinian West Bank village of Kafr Qaddum, the villagers celebrated their fifth anniversary of marches against illegal Israeli settlements. Israeli soldiers stormed the village, taking positions in civilian homes and using sniper fire. Later on, Israeli soldiers sprayed copious amounts of chemical water, known as “skunk water” at protesters and at homes, as well as using volleys of tear gas from an army jeep. Early in the protests, a 12-year-old boy was injured when he was shot in the head with a rubber bullet. Tensions remain high into the evening. One day after the one year anniversary of the kidnapping and murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir, the Palestinian teenager from Shufat, in East Jerusalem, tensions remained high on Friday across the West Bank and Jerusalem. Early in the morning, another Palestinian teenager, 17 year-old Muhammad al-Kasbah, was shot and killed near the Qalandia checkpoint by Ramallah, West Bank.
