Rh. spinipes is not at all common in Denmark, I only know of ten specimens; Sor0 (Jacobsen) and in Jutland at Rye near Silkeborg and on Seis Hede (A. Petersen). It is an autumn species, my only date is 9 (Seis Hede), but it is recorded from September and October. It occurs generally in woods on humid localities; Zetterstedt records it from the twelfth of July, and the same author took it at a height of 4000 feet „in nive ambulans'.
